Passenger Dubbed ‘Kwam 2’ After Violent Ibom Air Altercation

Nigerians have humorously nicknamed Ms. Comfort Emmanson “Kwam 2” following her clash with Ibom Air staff, drawing parallels to musician Kwam 1’s past airline incident.Emmanson allegedly assaulted a flight attendant and fought with airport security after an Uyo-to-Lagos flight, resulting in her forceful removal at Murtala Muhammed International Airport.

Viral footage shows her in a heated exchange with security before being taken away in a bus. The NCAA has since reminded travellers that they have obligations as well as rights. The episode echoes Kwam 1’s six-month flying ban after a confrontation with ValueJet staff.

Update: Comfort Emmanson, the passenger who violently assaulted Ibom Air crew members on a Uyo–Lagos flight, has been arraigned and remanded in Kirikiri Correctional Centre.

AON condemned her behaviour, commended Ibom Air’s handling, and warned that all future unruly passengers will face similar consequences.
