Newcastle Submit €90M Bid for Benjamin Šeško, Move Ahead of Man United
Newcastle United have submitted an official bid for RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Šeško, totaling €75 million plus €5 million in add-ons matching Leipzig’s full valuation of €80 million (around £65.5m + £4.3m). The Magpies are serious about landing the Slovenian forward and have also improved their personal terms offer to the player.
Newcastle have outlined a clear sporting project to Šeško and made it clear they want him as a key figure in their squad. Sources close to the deal indicate the club is confident, with their proposal now satisfying both Leipzig’s financial demands and the player’s expectations regarding role and development.
Šeško has not yet finalized his decision, but Newcastle's offer is being taken very seriously. Club officials have been in constant dialogue with Leipzig, and the player has reportedly given the green light to proceed with formal talks about the potential €90 million deal.

While Newcastle have jumped ahead in the race, Manchester United are still in contention for Benjamin Šeško. The Premier League giants have maintained contact with the striker’s camp and continue to express strong interest in bringing him to Old Trafford. However, they have not yet matched Newcastle’s full financial package or clarity in sporting vision.
Šeško is currently weighing both options and is reportedly open to either project. At 21, the Slovenian forward is looking for a team where he can play regularly and grow into a leading role, and both Newcastle and Manchester United offer attractive but different paths.
United may still return with an improved offer, but for now, Newcastle appear to be in control of the situation. With pre-season nearing its end and transfer windows closing soon, a final decision could be expected in the coming days. Leipzig remain open to a deal if terms are fully met.
