Man Utd sign RB Leipzig striker Sesko for £74m

Manchester United have confirmed the signing of Slovenian striker Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig in a deal worth £73.7 million. The 22-year-old agreed to a five-year contract, with £66.3 million paid upfront and the rest in add-ons. Sesko becomes United’s third major attacking addition of the summer following the arrivals of Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo. The young forward was also pursued by Newcastle United but opted to join Ruben Amorim’s side. Sesko, who played for Leipzig since 2023 after arriving from Salzburg, scored 39 goals in 87 appearances for the German club. His 27 Bundesliga goals in just 64 games make him one of the most prolific young strikers in Europe. Standing at 6ft 5in, Sesko combines strength, pace, and aerial dominance, recording the highest aerial success rate among Bundesliga strikers last season. His top speed of 35.7 km/h and long-range scoring ability add another dimension to United’s attack
