Los Angeles FC Midfielder Igor Jesus Out for Season with ACL Injury

Los Angeles FC midfielder Igor Jesus has been ruled out for the remainder of the MLS season after suffering a torn ACL in his left knee during Saturday’s 1-1 draw against FC Dallas. The injury ends what has been a key season for the 22-year-old Brazilian, who has made 24 appearances, including 22 starts, ranking him tied for third in starts for the club this season.

Jesus has contributed one assist across 1,859 minutes on the pitch. He joined LAFC in January from Portuguese side Estrela da Amadora and quickly became an important presence in midfield. The team now faces the challenge of adjusting its lineup and midfield options for the remainder of the season without the young Brazilian’s services.
