Frank Caprio, the former Chief Judge and beloved TV personality, has died at the age of 88 from complications of pancreatic cancer.

He passed away on Wednesday, August 20, just a day after posting from his hospital bed in Providence, where he revealed he had been admitted following a health setback.
Caprio was widely admired for his compassion and gentle humour on the bench. His courtroom work was famously featured on the television program Caught in Providence, and he also appeared in the series Parking Wars, adjudicating traffic violation cases.
The Caught in Providence YouTube channel, which showcases his memorable moments, has amassed more than 2.9 million subscribers.
