(In the U.K) Five Jockeys Safe After Dramatic Emergency Landing at Glorious Goodwood


On the third day of Glorious Goodwood, jockeys Rowan Scott, Callum Rodriguez, PJ McDonald, Tom Eaves, and Jack Garritty narrowly escaped danger when their light aircraft suffered an engine failure shortly after takeoff from Bagby Airfield. The experienced pilot, with 25 years of flying expertise, safely returned the plane to the airfield, ensuring all on board were unharmed.

The incident, described as a first by the pilot, left the jockeys shaken but safe. Rowan Scott, mid-air during the ordeal, messaged his agent to inform trainers he would miss his scheduled rides.
