(In Uganda) Tragic Mubende Bus Crash Sparks School Safety Concerns


A devastating road accident in Mubende, Uganda, has gripped the nation after a bus carrying pupils from Day Star Primary School in Makindye overturned at 5:30 AM on August 3, 2025, in Kagavu along the Mubende–Kampala Road in Zigoti, Mityana District. The crash claimed the lives of two pupils and left 11 others injured. Authorities report that the driver, who was returning from a school tour in Kasese, allegedly fell asleep at the wheel, causing the tragedy.
