Liam Jacobs, the 24-year-old former Democratic Alliance (DA) Member of Parliament, has officially been sworn in as a councillor for the City of Johannesburg.
Jacobs steps into the role following the suspension of DA deputy president Kenny Kunene. His appointment comes in the wake of Kunene’s dramatic resignation in July, after being linked to a visit at the Sandton residence of Katiso “KT” Molefe a suspect in the 2022 murder of popular musician DJ Oupa “Sumbody” Sefoka.
