Texas rancher and millionaire Asher Watkins was killed during a hunting trip in Limpopo, South Africa. The 52-year-old had been tracking a massive 1.3-ton Cape buffalo on Sunday when the animal suddenly charged, fatally striking him. Watkins died instantly at the scene.

A well-known figure in the ranching world, he founded and managed the Watkins Ranch Group, a Dallas-based company dealing in luxury ranch properties across Texas and several other states.
