(In South africa) Pimville Violence Escalates After Taxi Driver's Death


In Pimville, Soweto, tensions surged after a taxi driver was shot and set ablaze at Maponya Mall on August 13, 2025. In retaliation, residents set another taxi on fire while it was moving, alleging the driver attempted to bypass blocked roads in a restricted area.
