Leaders of South Africa’s Patriotic Alliance, Gayton McKenzie and Liam Jacobs, have condemned the Open Chats podcast following the circulation of a controversial episode containing derogatory remarks about the coloured community.

The outrage stems from a now-viral clip in which podcast hosts Mthokozisi Methula and Sinothando Kama made offensive claims, including insinuations of incest and mental health issues within coloured families.

In response, Liam Jacobs has filed a criminal complaint against the podcast, accusing the hosts of promoting racism and defamation. The incident has sparked widespread criticism and renewed calls for greater accountability in digital media content.
