Veteran Nigerian actor Fabian Adibe has passed away at the age of 85, leaving behind a remarkable legacy in film and culture. He reportedly died in the early hours of Wednesday, August 20, 2025, around 2:30 AM. Adibe gained widespread recognition for his memorable portrayal of Ogbuefi Uzowulu in the television adaptation of Chinua Achebe’s Things Fall Apart. His artistic journey began in 1965 when he represented Nigeria at the Commonwealth Arts Festival, later participating in FESTAC ’77.
