(In Nigeria) K1 De Ultimate Involved in Airport Disruption Over Restricted Item on Lagos-Bound Flight

Fuji music icon K1 De Ultimate was at the centre of a confrontation at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, after attempting to board a Lagos-bound ValueJet flight with a restricted liquid substance.

According to reports, the musician ignored repeated warnings from aviation security personnel and the flight captain. The situation escalated when he allegedly spilled alcohol on a staff member, prompting intervention by airport security.

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) confirmed the incident, stating that K1 De Ultimate resisted instructions from AVSEC officers and the flight crew. Despite efforts to de-escalate the situation, he refused to vacate the aircraft doorway until he was escorted away by security.

In a related development, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has suspended two ValueJet pilots over breaches of safety protocols associated with the same flight.
