Ibom Air has permanently banned Ms. Comfort Emmanson after she violently attacked crew and security officials on a flight from Uyo to Lagos on August 10, 2025.

The incident began when she refused to switch off her phone before take-off, leading to a confrontation with the Purser. Upon arrival in Lagos, Emmanson allegedly tore off the Purser’s wig, slapped two crew members, attempted to seize a fire extinguisher, and assaulted security personnel.

Viral footage of the altercation prompted Ibom Air to reaffirm its zero-tolerance policy on violent conduct, warning that offenders face legal action alongside lifetime bans.
