The Anambra government has labeled the assault unacceptable, confirming that suspects have been identified and arrested, with investigations underway. SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the police spokesperson, noted that the victim’s unavailability has delayed the probe but reassured corps members of their safety statewide. The Command emphasized that assault is a criminal offense under Nigerian law, urging victims to report harassment promptly and warning vigilante groups against power abuse, with a promise of strict action against misconduct.
