(In Kenya) Kalonzo Musyoka Dismisses Fake AU Peacekeeping Appointment Claim

Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has denied viral social media claims that President William Ruto appointed him to a peacekeeping role in Côte d'Ivoire.

Describing the alleged African Union assignment as “absolute fake news,” Kalonzo accused political opponents of fabricating the rumour to tarnish his image. The forged announcement even featured a fake AU signature in an attempt to appear credible.

The claims had sparked public debate over his perceived diplomatic ties with the current administration, prompting him to reaffirm his opposition stance. Kalonzo declared he would not work with those he accused of youth abductions and human rights violations.

His rebuttal comes just days after he criticised President Ruto for undermining the rule of law and accused Deputy President Kithure Kindiki of abusing his office for political gain.
