(In Ghana) Otumfuo Osei Tutu II to Convene Asanteman Council Meeting at Manhyia Palace

 


Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene and traditional ruler of the Ashanti Kingdom, has announced plans to hold an Asanteman Council Meeting on Monday, 11th August. The announcement was made through his representatives and highlights the significance of the gathering for the Ashanti Kingdom’s leadership and governance.

The meeting will take place at the historic Manhyia Palace in Kumasi, the capital of the Ashanti Region. Serving as both the official residence and seat of the Asantehene, the palace remains a central symbol of Ashanti tradition, heritage, and authority, playing host to important cultural and political deliberations.
