(In Ghana) Ibrahim Mahama Sponsors Forensic Transfer of Helicopter Crash Victims to South Africa


Ghanaian billionaire entrepreneur Ibrahim Mahama, younger brother of President John Dramani Mahama, has sponsored an emergency forensic transfer of the remains of the recent helicopter crash victims to South Africa.

Due to the severely damaged condition of the bodies recovered from the crash site, Mahama provided his private jet, Dzata, for the mission.

The aircraft departed on Thursday, August 7, 2025, carrying biological samples from the victims, alongside a government delegation and forensic experts from the Ghana Police Service’s Criminal Investigations Department (CID).
