(In Ghana) Citizens Celebrate Samira Bawumia on Her 45th Birthday


Ghanaians are celebrating former Second Lady, Samira Bawumia, as she marks her 45th birthday today, August 20, with an outpouring of goodwill messages across social platforms. Many supporters of her husband, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, have used the occasion to express hopes that she will assume the role of Ghana’s First Lady after the next presidential elections.

Samira Bawumia served as Ghana’s Second Lady from 2017 to 2025 during her husband’s tenure as Vice-President. She is also known for her strong public presence and advocacy.
