(In Ghana) Ashanti Regional Minister Confirms Recovery of Helicopter Black Box

 

The Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, has confirmed that the black box from the Z9 military helicopter that crashed on Wednesday, August 6, has been recovered.

He made the announcement during condolence visits to the families of two victims, Samuel Sarpong and Samuel Aboagye, at their homes in Kumasi and Obuasi on Thursday.

The recovered black box is expected to provide crucial data to help investigators determine the cause of the crash, which tragically claimed the lives of eight Ghanaians, including military personnel.
