Viktor Gyökeres Joins Arsenal in €73.5M Deal from Sporting CP

Arsenal and Sporting CP are making waves globally because a blockbuster deal has been finalised for Viktor Gyökeres.

The Portuguese side accepted Arsenal’s €63.5m plus €10m bid, and the Swedish striker is set to sign a five-year contract.

Gyökeres, who had only wanted a move to the Emirates, will now join Mikel Arteta’s project after his agent agreed to lower commission demands.

The agreement marks one of the summer’s biggest transfers, boosting Arsenal’s attacking options ahead of the new season.

Gyökeres was in top form last season with Sporting and attracted interest from top European clubs.

However, his preference for Arsenal sealed the move.

The Premier League side now strengthens its title ambitions with a powerful and clinical forward in their ranks.

It is now Welcome to Arsenal.
