Maurene Comey, a federal prosecutor who worked on the high-profile Jeffrey Epstein case, has been dismissed just one day after former President Donald Trump referred to renewed calls for an Epstein investigation as “The Jeffrey Epstein Hoax.”
Comey, the daughter of former FBI Director James Comey—whom Trump fired in 2017—had been involved in prosecuting Epstein before his death in federal custody.
