Takehiro Tomiyasu and Arsenal FC have officially parted ways, with both parties agreeing to a mutual termination of his contract with immediate effect.
The Japanese defender, who arrived at Arsenal in 2021 from Bologna, made 84 appearances and was twice named Player of the Month. While he showed promise early on, his time at the club was heavily affected by recurring injuries, which limited his overall impact.
Arsenal expressed gratitude for his dedication and professionalism, bringing to a close a notable chapter in the club’s recent history.
Tomiyasu began his career at Avispa Fukuoka, later moving to Sint-Truiden in Belgium, where he was named Player of the Season before earning a move to Serie A.
