Snoop Dogg Becomes Co-Owner and Investor at Swansea City

Rapper Snoop Dogg has become a co-owner and investor in Swansea City after acquiring a minority stake in the Championship club. The 53-year-old American artist was recently unveiled as a surprise model for the team’s new home kit for the 2025 to 2026 season. The club has now confirmed that Snoop Dogg, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, has officially joined their ownership group. In a statement on the club’s website, Snoop expressed his excitement about becoming part of Swansea City. He said he was drawn to the club’s working class roots and underdog spirit, which he felt resonated with his own background. He pledged to do all he could to support the team’s progress. Snoop Dogg’s investment follows that of Luka Modric, the Real Madrid and Croatia legend, who joined the Swansea ownership group earlier in 2025. Modric recently signed for AC Milan as a player but retained his stake in the Welsh club. Both investments come after a takeover led by American businessmen Brett Cravatt and Jason Cohen in November of the previous year. Swansea’s current owners are aiming to raise the club’s global profile in order to boost revenue and allow for greater investment in the squad. They believe Snoop Dogg’s massive global following will help achieve that goal. In a statement, they said his involvement marks the next chapter in the club’s journey. The club has already started honoring Snoop’s new role, unveiling a mural of him in the West Stand at the Swansea dot com Stadium. The rapper is known for his passion for sports and has expressed a longstanding interest in football. His relationship with the club reportedly began through connections with Cravatt and Cohen.
