Nigeria's President Bola Tinubu Showers Super Falcons with Cash, Apartments and Honours for Historic Win
Nigeria's President Bola Tinubu has showered grand rewards on the Super Falcons, the country's women's national football team, following their impressive performance at the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
Each player will receive a $100,000 cash prize, a three-bedroom apartment, and the national honour of Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON).
Technical committee members are not left out, as they are each set to receive $50,000 for their contribution.

Additionally, the Nigerian Governors Forum has donated ₦360 million to the team, offering ₦10 million from each of the 36 states.
These generous gestures aim to celebrate the team’s excellence and boost morale.
The recognition also positions the Super Falcons as national heroes, reinforcing their significance in African women’s football and honouring their resilience and consistent success on the continental stage.
