(In the US) Macron vs. Owens: French President and Wife Sue Conservative Podcaster for Defamation

 

French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte Macron have filed a defamation lawsuit in the US against conservative podcaster Candace Owens.

The podcaster claimed that the French First Lady "is in fact a man" who was born under the male name Jean-Michel Trogneux.

The 218-page lawsuit, filed in Delaware on Wednesday July 23, accuses Owens of publishing “outlandish, defamatory and far-fetched fictions”.

The podcaster also alleged that President Macron and his wife are blood relatives.
