(In U.S) 31 Workers Rescued Unharmed After Wilmington Tunnel Collapse in Los Angeles







On the night of Wednesday, July 9, 2025, a major industrial tunnel under construction in Wilmington, a suburb of Los Angeles, collapsed, trapping 31 workers. According to the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD), all workers were safely rescued without visible injuries.



The LAFD reported that the incident occurred at a site where Flatiron Dragados is constructing a 7-mile-long, 18-foot-diameter tunnel for municipal wastewater management, located approximately 450 feet underground. The cause of the collapse is under investigation, but the successful rescue has brought relief to the community and the workers' families.
