Footage circulating on social media shows police officers escorting a group of masked persons—allegedly linked to the far-left collective Antifa—through a protest led by local residents. The demonstration, organised by community members concerned about the use of the hotel to house asylum seekers, quickly drew attention due to the presence of counter-protesters clad in black and wearing face coverings.
The video has sparked a wave of criticism online, with many accusing police of favouring the masked group over local demonstrators.
