Rock legend Ozzy Osbourne was laid to rest today, July 30, 2025, in his hometown of Birmingham, marking the end of an era for music fans around the world.
Thousands of mourners lined the streets to honour the former Black Sabbath frontman, transforming the funeral procession into a heartfelt celebration of his life. Fans paid tribute with flowers, music, and handmade banners, while a brass band played some of Ozzy’s iconic hits fulfilling his wish for a joyful and uplifting send-off.

The public procession passed through several of Birmingham’s most iconic landmarks, including the Black Sabbath Bridge, before a private burial ceremony took place. His wife, Sharon Osbourne, and their children placed flowers at a specially dedicated memorial bench, surrounded by chanting fans.
Osbourne, known as the “Prince of Darkness,” had requested that his farewell reflect the spirit of his music and connection with fans. The celebration struck a perfect balance between mourning and tribute, ensuring that Ozzy’s legacy as a global rock icon will live on for generations.
