Peter Obi, former governor of Anambra State and 2023 presidential candidate, is once again at the center of public debate following the resurfacing of claims that he allocated ₦200 million (approximately $1.2 million in 2012) for the maintenance of a Peugeot 406 official vehicle during his time in office.

The controversy doesn’t stop there, reports also allege that ₦430 million (about $2.6 million) was budgeted for transport and travel expenses in the same year, raising eyebrows and fueling online backlash.
