(In Nigeria) New Leaks Suggest Activism Around Mohbad’s Death Was Targeted Campaign Against Naira Marley, Not Justice

Naira Marley is back in the spotlight in Nigeria following fresh allegations released by controversial commentator VeryDarkMan (VDM). According to a series of leaked group chats, the public outcry surrounding Mohbad’s death may have been part of a coordinated effort to bring down Naira Marley and his associate, Sam Larry.

In one of the leaked messages, actress Tonto Dikeh allegedly admitted she wasn’t focused on the murder itself but rather on the bullying Mohbad endured. She also questioned the paternity of Mohbad’s son, asking, “What’s happening with the private DNA?”

The revelations didn’t end there. TikTok personality Sandra Benede backed VDM’s narrative, claiming that actress Iyabo Ojo had previously pleaded with Naira Marley for forgiveness following their feud.

Despite allegedly receiving internal updates from contacts within the DSS, Tonto Dikeh reportedly remained determined to see Naira jailed. Furthermore, reports claim that Tonto, Iyabo, and others began soliciting donations just two weeks after Mohbad’s death—raising questions over who the actual beneficiaries were.

The leaked chats have reignited public debate over the true motivations behind the #JusticeForMohbad campaign.
