Zelenskiy Announces Ukraine and Russia to Exchange Lists for Prisoner of War Swap
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy stated on Monday that Ukraine and Russia have agreed to exchange lists of prisoners for a planned prisoner of war (POW) swap, following talks in Istanbul. The agreement is set for next week, with both sides prepared to exchange 1,000 prisoners each, and the possibility of an additional swap of up to 200 POWs.

Zelenskiy also confirmed that there is an agreement to return the remains of fallen servicemen, although this process will require careful coordination. Additionally, Ukrainian negotiators provided Russia with a list of nearly 400 children they want repatriated to Ukraine. However, the Russian delegation indicated they would only work on returning 10 of these children.
The Ukrainian leader highlighted a recent intelligence operation, codenamed "Spider's Web," in which drones hidden in wooden sheds attacked Russian military airfields. Zelenskiy said this operation helped boost international confidence in Ukraine’s ability to continue fighting Russia and emphasized Ukraine’s ongoing resistance.
