Tragedy in Gaza: Humanitarian Workers Killed in Bus Ambush Amid Ongoing Aid Efforts At least eight Palestinian workers for the U.S.-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) were killed in an ambush blamed on Hamas militants, who fired on a bus heading to an aid center in southern Gaza. Many others were injured, and some may have been kidnapped, according to GHF. Despite the attack, GHF decided to keep its food distribution operations going, handing out a record 2.6 million meals in a single day. The organization emphasized its commitment to providing aid amid ongoing violence.

Meanwhile, ongoing violence continues: Israeli forces reported kills of militants and strikes near weapons facilities, while over 100 Palestinians have been killed and hundreds wounded in past 24 hours across Gaza. The conflict remains intense, with Israel targeting Hamas and arresting suspects in Syria. Hamas has not commented on the bus attack, but social media rumors suggest it targeted GHF workers linked to a rival clan. Hamas has also accused Israel of causing chaos and civilian deaths near aid centers, though Israel denies responsibility for many of the casualties. Despite the violence, some humanitarian aid is reaching Gaza: Israel allowed trucks carrying food, including supplies from the UN’s World Food Programme, into northern Gaza for the first time in months.
