PSG leapfrog Barcelona to go top of goalscoring charts in 2025

Paris Saint-Germain have taken over the top spot in the 2025 goalscoring charts across Europe’s top five leagues after their dominant 4-0 win over Atletico Madrid in the Club World Cup. This brought their tally to 105 goals in the calendar year, overtaking Barcelona’s 102. Both clubs share the same goals-per-game average of 2.9, though Barcelona have played one game fewer.

PSG’s form has been electric and consistent. They closed their Champions League campaign by scoring five goals past Inter Milan and have continued their rampage in the Club World Cup. They’ve scored three or more in each of their last five matches, including wins over Montpellier, Auxerre, and Stade de Reims.

Their total for the 2024/25 season now stands at 156 goals, second only to Barcelona’s 172. Real Madrid trail far behind in third with 79 goals in 2025, while Bayern Munich sit at 76 despite their 10-0 demolition of Auckland City.

PSG’s ability to keep scoring without pause shows a team in peak rhythm. In 2025, only Liverpool managed to keep a clean sheet against them. Since then, PSG have scored in every single game, with an astonishing 14 matches featuring four goals or more. The Parisians are not just winning – they are overwhelming opponents.

Ousmane Dembele is at the heart of PSG’s explosive 2025. The French winger has scored 25 goals this year, leading an attack that has become the most dangerous in Europe. Goncalo Ramos follows with 14, Desire Doue has 13, and Bradley Barcola adds 11.

This spread of scorers shows PSG’s attacking depth. Across all competitions this year, 15 different players have scored: seven forwards, five midfielders, and three defenders. Luis Enrique has crafted a system where goals can come from anywhere, and it is clearly working.

Their recent scoring form has been stunning. PSG have netted in every game since February. In that stretch, they’ve scored once in nine matches, twice in six, three times in another six, and four or more goals in 14 games. This includes two games with five goals, one with six, and two where they hit seven.

Such numbers reflect not only their talent but their ruthless mentality. PSG’s matches have become high-scoring affairs where few teams can keep up. Their 2025 stats – 105 goals in just over 35 games  speak volumes about their attacking intensity and efficiency.

The combination of elite individual performers and a system that spreads the responsibility makes PSG a nightmare for defenders. If they maintain this pace, they will not only finish the year as Europe’s top scorers but could also challenge for every trophy in front of them.
