Nigerian Chess Champion Tunde Onakoya Honored by President Tinubu



President Bola Ahmed Tinubu recently welcomed renowned chess master and founder of Chess in Slums Africa, Tunde Onakoya, to his residence in Lagos. The meeting was a celebration of Onakoya's remarkable achievement in setting a new Guinness World Record for the longest chess marathon.

The meeting honoured Tunde’s journey from Lagos streets to global acclaim. President Tinubu praised his efforts to empower children through chess and expressed interest in expanding Tunde’s impactful work across Nigeria.
