The Nigerian Army has confirmed multiple casualties following deadly, coordinated attacks by armed groups on military bases in Niger and Kaduna States. The early morning assaults took place in Bangi (Mariga LGA) and Aungwan Turai, where over 300 armed assailants launched simultaneous offensives on key military outposts.
Heavy gunfire ensued as the army responded with ground forces and aerial support. Several soldiers were killed, while others sustained injuries and are currently receiving treatment in military hospitals.

Clearance operations are ongoing as security forces work to locate and neutralize the attackers. The army also reported that it inflicted heavy losses on the assailants during the confrontation.
