Japan Considers Evacuating Citizens from Iran Amid Iran-Israel Conflict
The Japanese embassy in Iran announced on Tuesday that it is evaluating the possibility of evacuating Japanese nationals from Iran as the conflict between Israel and Iran continues to escalate. The embassy indicated that evacuation could be carried out as early as Thursday, June 19, potentially involving transportation by bus to a neighboring country.
This development comes amid the ongoing Israeli airstrikes against Iranian targets in Tehran and other locations, marking the fifth straight day of hostilities in the region. Earlier, Japanese Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshimasa Hayashi mentioned that the Japanese government is exploring various options to ensure the safety of its citizens in Iran.

The situation remains volatile, with regional tensions heightened due to the Israel-Iran conflict, which has also involved significant attacks on Iranian infrastructure, including the Iranian state broadcaster’s building in Tehran.
