Israel's Netanyahu says Washington knew about Iran attack plans
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated on Friday that Israel informed the United States of its plans to conduct an attack on Iran prior to executing the strikes. In a recorded video message, Netanyahu emphasized that Israel had provided advance notice to the U.S. government, which was aware of the operation.
"I leave the American position to the Americans. We updated them ahead of time. They knew about the attack. What will they do now? I leave that to President (Donald) Trump. He makes his decisions independently," Netanyahu said.
He reaffirmed Israel's stance that Iran should not possess nuclear weapons, highlighting that U.S. President Donald Trump had previously asserted the same firm position against Iran’s nuclear enrichment capabilities.

'We knew everything,' Trump tells the press about Israel's strikes on Iran
U.S. President Donald Trump revealed in a recent interview with Reuters that he and his team were fully aware of Israel's plans to attack Iran. Trump explained that he had given Tehran advance warning to encourage Iran to reach a deal regarding its nuclear program and avoid conflict.
"We knew everything, and I tried to save Iran humiliation and death. I tried to save them very hard because I would have loved to have seen a deal worked out," Trump said. He added that Iran still has an opportunity to negotiate, saying, "They can still work out a deal, however, it’s not too late."
Trump emphasized that he had provided Iran with a 60-day window to come to an agreement, which has now passed ("and today is 61"). He stated that U.S. authorities do not know if Iran still maintains a nuclear program following Israel’s recent strikes, describing the attack as "very devastating."
