Iranian Lawmakers Claim US and Israel Are Planning a Nuclear Talks Trap
Iranian parliamentarians accused the United States and Israel of deliberately turning nuclear negotiations into a "strategic trap" for Iran. The statement came ahead of a scheduled sixth round of Iran-U.S. nuclear talks.
The lawmakers criticized the U.S. for being unserious in negotiations, alleging that Washington aims to impose its demands and pursue offensive positions that conflict with Iran’s rights. They emphasized that Iran considers uranium enrichment a non-negotiable part of its nuclear program.

While U.S. President Donald Trump mentioned that the next round of talks would happen on Thursday, Iran's foreign ministry said it was scheduled for Sunday in Oman. Iran plans to submit a counterproposal rejecting the U.S. offer, citing concerns over the lack of detail on sanctions relief and Iran's enrichment rights.
Iranian officials insist that the only acceptable deal is one that results in a permanent lifting of all sanctions, allowing Iran to benefit economically.
