(In United State) Groundbreaking Author Edmund White Passes Away at 85

 

Renowned American novelist, memoirist, playwright, biographer, and essayist Edmund White has passed away at 85. 

The gay and atheist writer died at his home in Manhattan On June 3, 2025, from an apparent gastroenteritis infection.

Edmund White was known as a groundbreaking writer of gay literature and a major influence on gay American literature.
