Orlando Pirates have named former Moroccan footballer Abdeslam Ouaddou as their new head coach. The 46-year-old will arrive in Johannesburg before the weekend to sign a one-year contract and begin leading the team’s pre-season training on 27 June.
Ouaddou, who transitioned from player to coach, brings experience from roles at Algeria’s MC Oujda, Benin’s Loto-Popo, and DR Congo’s AS Vita Club. Most recently, he successfully guided Marumo Gallants to safety, steering them clear of relegation.
