John Steenhuisen is making waves in South Africa because the politician has announced that the Democratic Alliance (DA) Party has withdrawn from the national dialogue as a result of perceived "disrespect" towards the party.

The DA's withdrawal from the National Dialogue comes days after President Cyril Ramaphosa dismissed deputy trade minister Andrew Whitfield over an unauthorised trip to The US.
