Troops Kill Boko Haram/ISWAP Terrorist Kingpin in Yobe State Nigeria Troops from Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK), supported by air support, have killed Malam Jidda, a key Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorist commander, during a coordinated ground and air assault in Ngazalgana, Gujba Local Government Area, Yobe State. Jidda, believed to be the leader of the Ngorgore and Malumti villages, was neutralized alongside other terrorists during the operation on June 9, 2025. The terrorist commander met his waterloo alongside others, during ground and air operations launched by troops of Operation Hadin Kai.
A statement signed by the Acting Deputy Director of Army Public Relations Headquarters Theatre Command Operation Hadin Kai, Reuben Kovangiya, said the terrorists’ commander, who is said to be the Ameer of Ngorgore and Malumti villages, met his waterloo alongside other terrorists, during a coordinated ground and air operations launched by OPHK on June 9, 2025. The military also continued its operations in the Mallamfatori area of Abadam Local Government, uncovering more terrorist bodies and recovering various arms and equipment. Items recovered include AK-47 rifles, motorcycles, ammunition, rocket-propelled grenade tubes, hand grenades, radios, and other gear.
