(In Nigeria) Clean-Up Operation in Agege: 84 Homeless Individuals Arrested

 


Agege is making waves in Nigeria because that's the area of Lagos State where 84 homeless individuals were arrested in a clean-up enforcement operation in the early hours of today, June 20. According to Commissioner for Environment Tokunbo Wahab, who shared a video of the operation, the arrested individuals included 82 males and 2 females.

The Commissioner for Environment further revealed that the arrested individuals, whom he described as "undesirable elements," will be charged in court. He, however, did state the exact offenses they committed. Most of the arrested individuals had been asleep when the round-up operation occurred.
