(In Nigeria) Bishop Oyedepo Blasts Lazy Pastors: 'Preaching is only 10% of Ministry

Bishop David Oyedepo, the founder and president of Living Faith Church Worldwide, also known as Winners' Chapel, has sparked conversation online after strongly condemning laziness among Christians and pastors in a recent Sunday sermon.

He said many who claim to be full-time pastors are actually full-time lazy, stressing that preaching is only 10 percent of ministry. He recalled how a lorry's inscription, "There Is No Food For An Idle Man," inspired him to address the growing culture of idleness in the Church.

The bishop shared real-life stories to emphasise his point.

He spoke of someone in the United Kingdom who sold smoked fish and was able to build a factory and a house. He also mentioned students who hawked bread to fund their education.

Oyedepo criticised jobless youths who remain idle at home and make excuses. He said every legitimate business is dignified, and God provides by revealing what to do.
