President William Ruto has appointed Lieutenant General David Kipkemboi Ketter as the new Commander of the Kenya Army, promoting him from Major General to Lieutenant General.
His appointment follows the reassignment of Lt. Gen. David Tarus to the National Defence University.
Ketter’s new role places him in a strong position to become the next Chief of Defence Forces after General Charles Kahariri’s retirement.
