Ghana's Chieftaincy Row: Ga Mantse Controversy Deepens

 

Ga Mantse is making waves in Ghana because The House of Chiefs has denied an alleged ruling by The Court of Appeal in Kumasi, declaring that Nii Tackie Adama Latse II, be added to the records of The National House of Chiefs as Ga Mantse.

According to reports denied by The National House of Chiefs in a statement, The court ordered the National House of Chiefs to reenter Latse II's name within 14 days of the ruling.

The National House of Chiefs was originally taken to court in 2021, following the expungement of Nii Tackie Adama Latse II's name from the National Register of Chiefs.
