US-DEA, NDLEA Renew Commitment to Fight Drug Trafficking

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has deepened its partnership with the United States Drug Enforcement Administration (US-DEA) to intensify the fight against drug trafficking.

The two agencies agreed to boost collaboration through advanced training and joint special operations.

This development follows a strategic meeting between NDLEA Chairman Buba Marwa and new US-DEA Country Attaché Daphne Morrison in Abuja.

Daphne Morrison emphasized continuity and expanded support, especially in technical training for NDLEA's Special Operations Units.

Marwa, in turn, praised the DEA for its longstanding assistance, including equipment, training, and operational backing.

The NDLEA's growing personnel strength and recent reforms were highlighted as key drivers of its effectiveness.

The renewed alliance aims to enhance intelligence sharing and operational coordination between the Nigerian and U.S. agencies.
