United States President to Deploy 'Golden Dome' Missile Defense System

 



The United States is moving forward with a new missile defense system after President Trump selected a design for the "Golden Dome" system. 


President Trump who earmarked an initial sum of $25bn for the project, revealed that The Golden Dome Missile Defense System which is expected to be fully operational before the end of his term, will consist of "next-generation" technologies across land, sea and space.

Speaking alongside President Trump, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said the Golden Dome system is aimed at protecting "the homeland from cruise missiles, ballistic missiles, hypersonic missiles, drones, whether they're conventional or nuclear."
