Sowore Slams Obi: 'Money Launderer-In-Chief' Remark Sparks Controversy

 



Money Launderer-In-Chief is making waves in Nigeria because Omoyele Sowore called Peter Obi that name while reacting to Obi’s denial of a Sahara Reporters story. 


The report alleged that Obi secretly met President Tinubu in Rome to beg over Fidelity Bank’s ₦225 billion debt. 

Obi said he only attended Pope Leo XIV’s inauguration, but Sowore mocked him, accusing him of lying and referencing his Pandora Papers scandal.

Peter Obi dismissed the Sahara Reporters story as blackmail, insisting he was in Rome for papal events and had no secret meeting with Tinubu. 

He clarified he does not own Fidelity Bank. 

Sowore, however, stood by the report, mocking Obi’s version and tweeting that Obi was bounced by his “elder brothers” in Rome.
